The Hoxten Hotel Illustrations 2006

 Katty was recently comissioned her to draw a series of London landmarks to be reproduced over 200 times on all the rooms, hallways, and stairwells of Sinclair Beecham's (co - founder of Pret-a-Manger) new  Hotel called The Hoxton in Hoxton Square.  The drawings in each of the bedrooms are about 3 metres long.

She was also commissioned to draw a 13 metre long panoramic drawing of London which has been etched into a glass panel which seperates the reception area from the resteraunt.

Taylor Woodrow's new development 'Harbour Way', Shoreham-by-Sea, 2006

Katty was selected to paint a series of paintings to be hung in the show home of their new developement in Shoreham.
The brief was left very open, only the sizes were specified and that the paintings should be of Shoreham. The paintings will be on display for at least a year, Katty has produced limited edition screen prints of Shoreham to coinside with the comission.

 

 

    

Comission for the 'Arcadia' P&O cruise liner launched in September 2005

Katty was one of a number of leading artists chosen to do a painting for the 'Arcadia', P&O's flagship cruise liner launched earlier this year.
Her work was chosen to hang in the Captains Party Area of the crowsnest on the ship.

Brighton Festival Poster Commission 1999

In 1999 Katty was selected to be the Brighton Festival Poster Artist.
At the time Brighton was raising money for the resteraution of the Dome, now a fantastic venue for music and theatre. Katty's work was chosen and her brief was to incorporate the Dome in an aim to raise awareness and funding. This is the finished painting as it was used and a photograph taken of Katty by Roger Bamber for the local Argus newspaper.

Illustrated Childrens Books

Katty McMurray and Steve Bowkett

In 1996 Harper Collins Educational Publishers saw one of Katty's paintings and put her together with the author Steve Bowkett and soon they published 'For a Moon there is a Cloud'.
Katty and Steve have continued working together and have recently had 'If I was a Spider' and 'Dojen the Wanderer' published by The Network Press. Katty and Steve have many more projects in mind and will hopefully be bringing out more books together in the near future. 

 

Other Books

Katty's illustrations have been widely used and in 1996 she illustrated an anthology of poetry 'School Daze' published by Harper Collins Educational.

Cards and Posters

The Art Group and the Cannes Down Press
In 2001 katty's paintings were published as cards and posters, and in 2003 The Cannes Down press published cards and they are planning on some more in the Spring of 2006.These are available at many outlets and bookshops around the country.

Two Kats and a Cow have also published a range of Katty, Kathryn and Johns images on greeting cards. These are available from the Gallery.
